Focus on Cartoonists: Cartoons Magazine Centennial February 1913

Cartoons Magazine continues its trend to expand its prose articles by and about cartoonists. Gathered here are all the articles from the February 1913 issue.
Click on the above & below pages, to display them large enough to read.
Above, artist William Kemp Starrett writes about a cartoonist’s day.
Below, we have an article written by cartoonist James E. Murphy, concerning political cartoon characters such as Uncle Sam, and political cartoonists Thomas Nast and Homer Davenport.
Above & below, we have the first two parts of a series of articles titled “Back in the Past”, dealing with past cartoonists (from the perspective in 1913 — so, 19th century cartoonists), authored by Henry C. Williamson. Above, Williamson writes about Nast, though touching on different areas than Starrett does, further above. (This first article, by the way, had appeared in the January 1913 edition, and I somehow missed it last month.) Beneath, Williamson on Joseph Keppler, Sr., and Keppler’s publication, Puck magazine.
Above, we have Robert Satterfield and the bear cub that appeared in his political cartoons. Beneath, short bits about cartoonists.
Above, we have a short bio on Walker O’Loughlin. Beneath, more short bits about cartoonists.
Finally, we have Perry J. Carter on cartooning above, while beneath is a short bio on him.
