It’s Doll Man Monday! (Memorial Day Edition)
On Doll Man Monday and Memorial Day what could be more patriotic than “Popular Yank Comics” a Canadian comic book that featured the adventures of our heroic mighty mite! Love the name of this comic book! (Though, for me, ALL Yanks are popular, eh?) Doll Man and some guy with a BIG flashlight are about to enter a dark safe! A cop enters the door with his hard nightstick raised. What the HECK is going on?!? i really don’t know, but it must go back to having something to do with the title “Popular Yank Comics” is all I can figure. Thanks to David B. for passing this cover along, David’s a popular yank at the Arf Lover’s Blog!

Not entirely sure that this is a Canadian comic. The price is 6d which in pre-decimalization British currency system (which was used on most of the former British colonies except Canada) meant 6 pence. So I Googled the title and sure enough it’s an Australian comic book.
Oh, good info, thanks Brent! And I know a lot of Aussie comics. if I’m correct, kinda “borrowed” American characters without paying bothersome licensing fees and wrote their own stories. So maybe there’s another whole treasure trove of Doll Man stories out there! Woah!
