A somber day for fans of illustrative art due to the passing of Frank Frazetta whose beginnings a s a “lowly” comic book artist led to his being the most respected amd well-known fantasy painter of his generation. Here are a few links to some of the artist’s work on the web.
Golden Age Comic Book Stories is where to find this color collection of Buck Rogers paintings used when that character appeared in Famous Funnies back in the early 1950′s.

Craig Yoe wrote on Facebook: Every morning I look at a treasured original drawing of three zoftig ladies he drew and I never cease to be amazed. I’ll never forget chatting with him, so handsome in his tux, at a gallery opening of his 15 years ago. An old lady asked, “Was that Tony Curtis you… were talking to?” That’s how I’ll remember him, a strong, brilliant genius.
Rest In Peace, Fritz!
