Tellin’ Tales # 715

Sanho KIm was a Korean artist known for his impressive seventies Charlton work but here he is at Marvel with a one-off martial arts/horror tale.

Here’s some lovely Flintstones Sunday strips from the sixties in full color. I used to love these!

Some fascinating behind-the-scenes insights into Hanna-Barbera’s dealings with DC Comics in the seventies.

Finally today, here’s an investigatory piece on the fabled Spirit radio series that no one seems to have ever heard.

One Response to “Tellin’ Tales # 715”

  1. Happenstance Says:

I wonder if anyone has ever had a go at Edgewood Studio’s “The Spirit: Ten Minutes.”

Based on one of my all-time favorite comic stories but made by David Giancola (whose “Time Chasers” was made infamous by MST3K) on a micro-budget that precluded shooting the subway scene (our little hood Freddie gets mowed down by a truck instead), I am curious but certain to be disappointed.

Trailer’s on YouTube. Somehow Giancola got permission to use Eisner’s art, and he makes the most of it in the trailer. Watch the guy playing Max (the shopkeeper) get everything horribly, horribly wrong.

I.T.C.H is looking forward to your thoughts. Please, no flame. Thanks!
