Tigwissel Tuesdays #8.5: Sydney Bulletin Re-Do

This week’s Tigwissel Tuesdays is a “Re-Do” in two ways. The above page was originally a re-do by artist Livingston Hopkins, when, for the above cartoon in the April 14th, 1884 Sydney Bulletin, he swiped from his own art — reusing bits from his 1st Professor Tigwissel comic strip found in the May 28th, 1875 (New York) Daily Graphic, thus helping Hopkins meet his deadline on his new regular gig.

Second, it’s a re-do, because I previously presented this cartoon, but in a poor quality image scanned off of microfilm. I have a clean version now. And re-presenting it is helping me this week meet my own self-imposed Tuesday Tigwissel deadline… You can click on the above picture, to see/read a larger version.

Until next week, and a “newer” old comic presentation…
