Pogo Schtick!

When Pogo ran for president in his comic strip, many readers planned on voting for the possum! Walt Kelly went on the radio urging listeners not to throw away their vote- Pogo’s campaign was just a joke!

    Yoeman- Pogo’s 1952 presidential campaign slogan “I Go Pogo” was a take-off on Eisenhower’s campaign slogan “I Like Ike”. Weird, but you knew!
