Doll man was tied up (literally) yesterday during President’s Day, but here he is now, folks! After seeing the new Arf Lovers Doll Man feature last week Jim Ludwig wrote on the GCD-Chat forum: “Are you trying to pervert my pure mind? I never noticed the symbolism until you mentioned it on Arf Lovers. Now I will always be looking for them in Doll Man”. Bruce Mason sent a Doll Man cover and responded, “Seems fair. The attached scan (below) doesn’t have any symbolism, just good art by Bryant”. Tony Isabella came back and exclaimed, “Who are you kidding, Bruce? That erect candle with the dripping wax? It’s pornography ; ) ”

Yeah Tony, and I think that the candle holder is symbolic of testicles and the villain’s nose looks pretty phallic itself. May this is TOO much but even the flame looks like a symbolic body part to me (don’t ask which one). All in the day of Doll Man!
