D. J. David B. Spins Comics-Tunes: Rock n’ Roll

To me, records are about the joy of discovery. Gently placing the tiny needle in that delicate groove and waiting to see if it will be a HIT (yaaay!) or a MISS (boo!). But when it comes to records about comic strips, they’re all winners in my book. What’s not to like?
Here’s a rare and nifty number that I would give a 70 if I were on American Bandstand. It has a good beat and you can dance to it. (Thanks and a tip of the Hatlo hat to Mr. Craig Yoe for the generous gift of this classic wax.)
That’s Larry Martin (who?) singing about some all-time great stars of the strips in this song called “Comic Strip Rock ‘N Roll†by Robert Ashley and his band. To hear this rarity, click on the bar below…

Next Tuesday, tune in for more tunes!

Ryan: I know you’ll be happy because I not only provided the title and artist but the record label as well!
