MAKIn’ LINKs # 245

Over at the DC Archive boards, I find a most nostalgic selection of DC Comics inventive and informative house ads from decades past, many showcasing the memorable designs and lettering of the unsung Ira Schnapp.

Over at Rip’s you’ll find really good reproductions of the art jam pages that surfaced online awhile back from superfan Marty Greim’s private collection-pages where he got just about anybody who was anybody to draw one of their signature characters back in 1978-79. Amazing stuff!

Here’s part one of an annotated reprint of the seminal Carl Barks Donald Duck story, Lost in the Andes, arguably the most widely known and most widely referenced duck story in the whole Disney duck pantheon. Look at the whole blog for later parts.

Here’s the classic Lois lane Meets Mental Man story complete with MST3K style comments posted over at Gay For Lois Lane.
