This brings a tear to my eye.
This was one great comic strip. I’m still wondering what Watterson will do next — still hoping that he’s got something left to say.
I still miss this strip. With the exceptions of Opus and Doonsbury, nothing comes close in today’s comics sections. One would have thought that after Ketcham and Schulz there would be nothing to add in a strip centered around a young boy, but in my opinion Watterson trumped them both.
I’d love to read some new Calvin & Hobbes someday, in children’s book form or extended stories.
