D. J. David B. Spins Comics-Tunes: Jetta, None Betta!

djnew

How many comic book characters can you think of who have a car named after them? Is there a truck called the Ford Hulk? Um, no. What about a nice Chrysler called the Spider-Man Mini-Van? Nope. Is there a car called the Chevy Flash? Uh-uh. (Though maybe there should be…) Of all the characters and all the cars, there’s only one I can think of with comic book origins: The Volkswagen Jetta.

And it makes perfect sense! Jetta is from a future world where everything is sleek and streamlined. Of course, those future cars fly but the Volkswagen Jetta goes pretty quick and it gets good gas mileage.

You know what’s coming next, don’t you? Unless this is the first Tuesday you’ve visited the Super I.T.C.H. blog you know that we present a comics-related song every week. Well, this week is no exception. As you’ve probably guessed by now the song is Jetta, a real rocker by Crankdaddy. Crank it up!

Well, Jetta “won” a car that much is true.
The story goes that Optimus Prime is fashioned after the Kenworth T100, but little is known that the most popular color scheme for that model was fashioned after the introduction of Optimus’ color scheme. In other words, prime is the only character who got a vehicle’s color scheme after him.

I.T.C.H is looking forward to your thoughts. Please, no flame. Thanks!
