D. J. David B. Spins Comics-Tunes: Faster Than A Speeding Bullet

Is it possible? Have we been presenting comics tunes here for 27 years (give or take) and we still haven’t gotten around to one of the most quintessential (and essential!) recordings of super music ever? Well, there’s no time like the present.

Naturally, I’m talking about TV’s The Adventures of Superman, which for many of us was our first exposure to the Man of Steel. No joke! Many people admit that they got interested in comics after seeing George Reeves portray Clark Kent and Superman on TV. Television as a gateway to comics? Oh yes!

So without further ado (and you know how much further we can ado if we want to!), here it is. Adapted from the radio show and made a classic by the TV show, here’s the opening theme music and narration that turned on generations of kids to the Man of Tomorrow… Superman!
