Hi Dave, back again, asking the same old questions… Whodidit?

I’ve been without the Internet since October, but it’s back now, and there’s been a LOT of catching up to do! The good news is I’ve finally sourced my own copy of the Capes & Masks album, but… It’s still in the post, and has the whole of the Atlantic ocean to cross before it can reach my turntable.

So until then, how about another Capes & Masks song? Really can’t get enough of that lot.

  2. David B Says:

More Capes & Masks coming right up! Meanwhile, the answer to your question is “I don’t know.” I have to assume that’s Jack Mercer doing the voice of Popeye. I’m guessing this was a children’s record with Popeye himself singing a bunch of simple songs.

  3. Tom F Says:

just got sagendorf popeye book by yoe/beck…of course toons are classic…book design almost perfect…but why font size so small?…beck should know those ancient popeye fans like us need larger print…and printing tiny black print on dark blue background is just not readable without bright light and magnifier…same with spinach can page numbers; clever, but too tiny…and reprint of pen-n-ink on p25 (which doesn’t have a page number) is not on p37, but p39…and an index for a special book like this is not necessary, a wasted page that could have been used for something more creative
    still…love the sagendorfs…from my era…and so perfect!

I.T.C.H is looking forward to your thoughts. Please, no flame. Thanks!
