D. J. David B. Spins Comics-Tunes: Alvin & the Chipmunks

As promised, here’s a little tribute to Ross Bagdasarian’s popular recording artists, The Chipmunks (all played by Ross himself, of course). There are countless songs I could share by the group, but that’s too easy and not DJ David B’s style. Instead we’re presenting a song about Alvin and the Chipmunks, from their animated TV show. Click the link at the bottom to listen.

What a great, jazzed-up theme - from a cherished Baby Boomer TV favorite. BTW, I’ve been trying to make out one line of this lyric for years. Something like:

    …And what is more, here’s the brother _???_ know(n) as Theodore…

What the heck are they singing? I tried looking it up online, but the lyrics seem to be wrong. Does anyone know??

“he’s the boy who giggles known as Theodore…”

    You’re welcome.

    That’s it, thanks!! Ha ha!

Maybe someday, corporate lawyers (most of whom weren’t even born yet when the show aired) will let us to see this series on DVD? (Don’t hold your breath, though.)

I.T.C.H is looking forward to your thoughts. Please, no flame. Thanks!
