During World War II the comic strip toon Jane took it all off in the (London) Daily Mirror! The U.S. Army newspaper Round-up reported: “Well, sirs, you can go home now…Jane peeled a week ago. The British 37th division immediately gained 6 miles and the British attacked in the Arakan. Maybe we Americans ought to have Jane, too!”

Well, that certainly would be fun. I can’t imagine an american strip doing this in WWII, much less today. Sigh, perhaps someday.
