MAKIN’ skniL # 296

It’s November and the snows are coming. Here’s a preview of cold weather starring, of all people (people??), Woody Woodpecker, in a flat-out Barks-style adventure written by John Stanley!

Here’s more love for the recently deceased Howie Post with a complete 1957 issue of Little Audrey from Harvey. Little Audrey was a Little Lulu clone but she came into her own with some nicely written and drawn issues.

Over at one of my stomping grounds, Shades of Gray, we find this very early comics story from the late, great Gray Morrow that echoes EC’s best war stories even though it was done for Atlas.

Finally today, the Comics Cube weighs in on the always-fascinating and divisive topic of who created the Marvel Universe, complete with comments from both Lee and Ditko made in various venues in recent years.
