On this day in 1958 John Totleben was born. Known best for his inking in the DC comic Swamp Thing, Totleben was diagnosed with an eye disease, retinitis pigmentosa, that rendered him legally blind. Despite this sad development he still continues to work on many DC and Marvel comics-just at a much slower pace.
