This Day in Arf History: Frank Frazetta is Born

On this day in 1928, comic book artist and science fiction illustrator Frank Frazetta was born. Frazetta’s earliest work ,like the funny animal art below, got the attention of Disney, who he turned down when offered a position. Of, course, he eventually went on to become the premier fantasy artist, but I will always dig his cartoony stuff the most.

Personally, I’m glad he didn’t stick with the funny animal genre.
I’m a couple days late, but happy birthday, Frank.
If I see him on Main Street I’ll pass along your birthday wishes, Michael.
If you see him on Main Street, tell him he could start a religion.
Which is better, “Frankmas” or “Frazettamas”?
Personally, I’d go with Frazettamas. But I’ll leave it up to Frank.
If you’re ever out in northeast Pennsylvania, stop in and visit the Frazetta Museum. You may even see Frank himself.
