Known for his psychedelic rock posters from the late sixties and early seventies, the late but extremely influential artist Rick Griffin is also remembered as a comics artist even though most of his work appeared in the niche drag cartoons market. Here are his surreal pieces from Zap issues 2 and 3, though.

Captain Action is undergoing a big comics comeback these days. Here’s Jim Shooter with artists Gil Kane and Wally Wood (always a great combination) from DC’s licensed version the first time around in 1968.
