This Day in Arf History: The First-Ever Saturday Morning Cartoon Airs!


On this day in 1955, CBS started airing Terrytoon’s classic Mighty Mouse theatrical shorts. This turned into an animated series and since then, Saturday mornings have been a whole lot more fun for everyone. Check out a classic toon below.

    I was only a couple of months old when Saturday morning cartoons began. No wonder I grew up loving cartoons! It was as if they were made just for me.
