We resume our Women’s History Month presentation of Florence Anne Claxton’s comic novel, The Adventures of a Woman in Search of Her Rights, published in Britain and the United States in the late 1860s to early 1870s.
In last Monday’s installment, our heroine completed her Oxford education, joined the British Bar as a practicing attorney, and addressed a Woman’s Rights rally (the tail-end of which continues in the first panel below)…
