Gettin’ Close # 498

Looks like I missed the final sign-off from the wonderful site Hairy Green Eyeball II a couple weeks back-going out with a bang with some lovely John Severin original art!

http://hairygreeneyeball3.blogspot.com/2011/09/severin-originals-and-goodbye-from.html

Another artist, like Severin, that never gets confused with anyone else, is Richard Corben whose pioneering color work in undergrounds and, here, in Warren magazines, is amazing!

Silver Age Comics offers up another fun read with part 0ne of a look at the big event of 1993 and that would be 1963, the Silver Age spoof/homage by Alan Moore and his amazing friends.

Not all old comics are good comics, most being more along the lines of this late issue of Black Magic, one of the single blandest comic books I have ever seen both art and storywise.
