D. J. David B. Spins Comics-Tunes: Little Known Facts

Not only was You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown a hit on Broadway, back in 1966, but it’s still a popular choice for local theater groups even to this very day!

Today we’re proud to present Little Known Facts, a favorite track from the MGM album, starring Orson Bean as Charlie Brown, Barbara Minkus as Lucy, and as Linus, the one and only Clark Gesner, who also wrote the music and lyrics.

  1. DJ David B. Says:

Hmm. I guess I’m the only one who likes this stuff. Next Tuesday, more versions of the Batman theme. And this time with random zaps!

  2. Michael Burton Says:

Hey, I like this stuff. I liked it too much to make any snide comments.

Many (maybe all) of the outrageous things Lucy tells Linus in the song are actually from the strip. Mr. Schulz had hisself some talent!

As for the random zaps… auuuuugggghhhhh!!!!

Mr. Schulz had the perfect word for everything.

  3. DJ David B. Says:

Thanks for listening, Michael. It’s good to know my comics tunes are not falling on deaf ears.

Don’t worry. I won’t give you the Batman Theme with random zaps. I have a tune in store that you’re sure to enjoy!

I.T.C.H is looking forward to your thoughts. Please, no flame. Thanks!
